A Dogwood Acres Sunday

Even though I called this post "A Dogwood Acres Sunday", it was not our typical Sunday. Our cousin, Alvie (Doug) Davis and his sweet wife, Judy, have come to spend a few days in Branson. They enjoy attending church with family when visiting here so we made it a family day at Calvary Full Gospel Church near Forsyth. This is where Uncle Bill and Aunt Roma AND Bill, Christie, Colby, Sean and Madison attend regularly. The rest of us were guests for the day and Pastor Clint Block and the church family there gave us a very warm welcome.

After church we all went to Bill and Christie's for Sunday dinner...yummy brisket and much more. When tummies were full and the table cleared, then Jim pulled out the family picture albums. I enjoyed listening as he and Aunt Roma went through this album that had many of our old pictures. She had so many memories to share of people and places of long ago.
As the albums were passed around, Doug and Judy enjoyed this one that had pictures of his parents when they lived on the farm in Ponce (1954). There was also pictures of Uncle Bruce (Doug's Dad) in his military uniform and his high school graduation from Spokane in 1935.
